It’s the Little Things…

I was recently looking at some of my old facebook posts, just reminiscing my journey, when I came across a status update I made back on October 20, 2013. At that point, I was 8 months into my new found journey back to health.

“Overheard Mickey telling some people recently that he could hold my hand again as he used to when we were younger (with our fingers laced together) because my arthritis and swollen knuckles were gone. I hadn’t realized it hurt him so much to see me in pain, even changing the way we hold hands. I’m SO thankful to have my health and life back in so many ways! We were both 16-years-old when we started dating back in 1983, and we married in July 1987. We’ve been together for a long time. When one hurts, we both hurt. And when one heals, we both heal. What a gift! Have I said how thankful I am lately?…
